In this project, defected ground structures are introduced in high-power PIN diode switches for size reduction. We achieve 50 % size reduction for matching transmission lines. The developed PIN diode switch shows 320 nsec switching speed, 0.8 dB insertion loss including SMA connector loss and 50 dB isolation. The switch also has power handling capability of about 50 |
